Head Coach :

The driving force behind opening the BBBC was the desire to combine my knowledge of boxing, CrossFit, kettlebells, Olympic lifting, personal training, and nutrition so that I could help people reach their fitness goals. I know what it’s like to go to a huge gym and feel lost and I know what it’s like to work hard and not reach a goal.

I want to help you avoid the common pitfalls of training and I want you to get to your goals. You work hard in the gym and all of that effort should count for something. At the Ballard Barbell and Boxing Club the focus is on you, your goals and your results and I use all of my experience to tailor your workout to your needs.

Boxing
After playing sports through high school and college I found myself in a bit of a funk when my competitive career ended. I needed a hobby to keep me active and fit. I grew up watching boxing with my father and had always wanted to try it. Once I got in the gym I fell in love with boxing. I loved the competition, I loved the physical and mental challenge and I loved the camaraderie. Years went by and I kept in shape, learned to box and made a bunch of friends. Over time, however, I realized that even though I was in shape I wasn’t seeing the results I wanted. I was still struggling with my weight even though I was working out close to two hours a day five days a week.
